Faculty of Medicine & Medical Sciences – St. George Faculty of Post Graduate Medical Education In keeping with its educational mission, the University of Balamand established the Faculty of Medicine in the year 2000 in association with the St. George Hospital – University Medical Center. Today, this young medical school has earned national acclaim through its dynamic curriculum and devoted faculty. We endeavor to provide excellence in medical education and patient care. With the rapid changes occurring in academic medicine we insure that our curriculum remains at the forefront of medical education. Students at the first year level find themselves in clinical settings receiving training on history-taking, physical examination and participating in a variety of ambulatory experiences. Upon graduation our students can either pursue clinical training in our various residency and fellowship programs under the supervision and guidance of the St. George Faculty of Postgraduate Medical Education, or seek training in the U.S. or French medical institutions. As we continue to grow we make sure that we foster in our graduates a firm commitment to clinical competence, delivery of high quality care to all people, and uncompromising ethical principles.
