|Welcome to VIIIe FFA
|In the framework of the Sommet de la Francophonie on the "Dialogue of the Cultures" which will take place in Lebanon in autumn 2002, will be held the Forum Francophone des Affaires (FFA) under the topic: "Let's provide 'Francophonie' the means of its goals".
This event will gather businessmen and businesswomen of the 55 French-speaking countries. The Forum represents a unique opportunity for the companies to tie partnership or business relations with their counterparts in countries with significant growth potential. For Lebanon, it is a question of coupling its membership with the French-speaking network and the network of its emigrants to promote its competitive assets.
Reine Codsi , President of the FFA Lebanese Committee " All through the ages, culture and businesses have always been tied and the economic and geopolitical importance of cultural dimension was never so large. Thus, almost all the political and economic transnational sets have cultural bases, and it is essentially the case for Francophonie".
Today, the French-speaking economic area faces two main challenges: the universalization and the creation of regional ecocomic sets. Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) insufflated a new dynamism to the Northern French-speaking countries that resolutely entered the new economy. With these challenges and the opportunity which the increased importance of the cultural ties represents, what are the perspectives for the French-speaking economic area, in particular in its North- South dimension?
The general topic of the Summit being "the Dialogue of the Cultures", the Forum will tackle these questions under the angle of the role of creativity and innovation in the economic development. The main objective of the Forum is to explore the partnership opportunities in high creative value added works in particular between companies of the North and of the South.
