|Mediterranean priorities of the Danish presidency
|At the head of the presidency of the UE from July to December 2002, Denmark defined its priorities concerning the relations of the European Union and its Mediterranean partners.
The two main objectives are the creation of a euromediterranean parliamentary assembly , and the development of a real euromediterranean partnership.
Three significant axes will be developed, safety, economic and cultural dialogue.
With regard to cultural dialogue, the Valence action plan tends to promote "the dialogue of the cultures and civilizations" with the creation of a Euro-Med Foundation charged to encourage the intellectual and cultural exchanges.
The Danish Presidency should define the details of implementation of this one, and its financing.
Danish presidency also wish to organize a promotion campaign of the euromediterranean partnership and to open the European programs Netd@ys and eSchola with the countries which are invested in new technologies within the framework of the school partnerships.
