Med-Interprise Lebanon - 6-8 october 2004
The European Commission has appointed the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon (CCIAB) as the main organizer of the Med-Interprise Lebanon 2004. |
|
CCIAB President Adnan Kassar views the Chamber's involvement in the project as being in line with the institution's policy of promoting business cooperation between European and Lebanese enterprises.
The event is scheduled to take place in Beirut on October 6-8, 2004.
Four sectors of activity have been identified as the focus of the event; these are:
Information technology
Food and beverages
Printing
Packaging
The Med-Interprise event involves the organization of two business contact days where pre-arranged meetings take place between Lebanese host companies and visiting companies from five European countries namely, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Belgium.
In preparation for the event, 50 Lebanese host enterprises would be required to formulate cooperation proposals, which could be an offer for a full joint venture with potential partners from the five EU countries participating in the event, or it could be a request for technical cooperation, sub-contracting, joint marketing ventures, etc.
Cooperation proposals from host companies are published in a catalog, which is sent to partners in the selected EU countries so that they can identify and select 100 enterprises interested in pursuing contacts with host companies.
