|Project to open an Arab bourse for ICT companies.
|Three Middle-East countries are currently discussing modalities to open an ICT bourse where the shares of local companies would be listed and traded. This event is a small revolution for this industry in the region. Indeed, this industry is very dynamic and specialists are confident about the high level of local and international demand for these shares and about the potential of attraction of the local ICT firms.
Stakes are important for companies that are already competing with the bests, in term of quality of products or services they produce.
The problem they face is a matter of critic size and a lack of financial assets. Merges and strategic partnerships will have to be led to empwer tehm with the attractivity they require to enter such a financial place.
It will allow them to open their capital and to shift from a private owned capital to a public share holded one.
This will result in a reinforcement of their Resaerch and development capicity. Only shares of companies established in Bahrein, Jordan and Dubai will be quoted on this market which is foreseen to open within in the coming four months.
The headquarter's location of this new entity is still to be discussed. This " Arab Nasdaq " will come to live after his big brother faced difficulties over the past years. Launching the project could be seen as a risky bet is this environment, but the slump of internet values led to a stabilisation and an increase in investors' awareness thus opportunity and expactations are high for this new market. We wish long life to this new player of the financial and Technological panorama !!
