|European Union wants to extend $51 million for several projects
|The European commission announced that it would approve a grant of $9 million to finance infrastructure projects in different sectors such as water, energy and transportation in Lebanon.
Lebanon This Week, the weekly report from Byblos Bank explains that this program should be achieved over a four year period.
Furthermore European Union should extend its project amounting to $14 million euros to promote competition in the private sector and $10 million euro to help and update the judicial system.
European Union should also allocate $18 million to help develop the north of Lebanon.
The Italian cooperation promised to give $5 million euro for reconstructing Nahr El Bared camp.
Italy, the ministry of interior and other municipalities has signed a cooperation agreement of 950 000 dollars to foster local development.
Finally Switzerland, attributed $286 000 as part of a plan of $800 000 that aims to provide technical assistance to manage disasters.
