The international musicians visits Lebanon
| Since the beginning of summer, many international musicians have come to Lebanon to perform in concerts and shows. |

All of us, have heard about the magnificent concert of Keane at the Byblos International Festival, the musical comedy of Grease at Baalbek International Festival, or the recent three day show of the French multi-instrumentalist Yann Tiersen at the Forum of Beirut.
The shows of these artists, attracts a great number of Lebanese, and have a complex system of promotion, management and marketing, which makes their infinite success envied by most of Middle East countries.
The arrival of one of these artists is done in several steps. The musicians can contact one of the Lebanese festivals in order to express his wishes to visit the Cedar country. The invitation can also come from the Lebanese organization. One other way would be the contact by an intermediate, such as the French cultural center (CCF).
The CCF can arrange a meeting between French artist and the planning committee of the festival.
Melodie Bardon, head of the cultural department in the CCF explain “that we need a lot of collaboration in order to pay the different cost made by the arrival of these international figures”. Bardon affirm that “with the transport cost, accommodation cost, artist stamp, we need a minimum of sponsoring, collaboration with the ministry of Culture, and with the different festival, in order to attract international musicians”.
We have seen this summer, that the arrivals of many renowned artists have a big impact on the number of tourist in Lebanon. Bands like Keane, and Deep Purple, helped the tourism statistics reach records.
We can only wait to see which musicians will come this summer to perform in Lebanon and attracts tourist in love with music.
